Services are provided throughout the New Orleans Metropolitan area. Parishes include: Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Charles, St. Bernard, St. John, St. James, St. Tammany, and Lafourche.

PHILOSOPHY:
ACTS believes that home health care is an array of services that may be brought into the home in order to achieve and sustain the optimum state of health, activity, and independence for a patient. These services are provided because of acute illness, exacerbations of chronic illness and disability.
ACTS believes that home health care is holistic. It is diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, rehabilitation, and supportive care provided at home. It provides health, social and other human services that will help the “whole person” and not just the “patient”.
ACTS believes that patients need to be ministered to physically, emotionally, and spiritually. ACTS believes that home health care should provide services to families to help them cope with the problems of caring for loved ones. Home health care means more than just providing services “for” people. It means teaching people needed skills.
ACTS believes that the important part of home health care is “care” and that home health care is the “quality of life” specialty. ACTS believes that the quality of life is determined by the individual and those he or she interacts with closely.
ACTS believes that home health care has three objective responses to patient care requirements: (1) to permit the individual to remain at home and care for him or herself; (2) to improve or maintain functions which will enable the individual to remain at home with family or community support; (3) to enable a deteriorating person to remain at home as long as possible when improvement and maintenance are no longer possible.
ACTS believes that home health care is effective care coordination between various disciplines under the authority of the patient's medical doctor. It also encompasses support groups consisting of families, professionals, and communities who strive to provide for the needs of the ill and disabled.
